AQUATICS DIRECTOR Brandon Ducote Lifeguard Instructor (LGI), Certified Pool Operator (CPO)

Brandon is passionate about all things aquatic and has been actively involved in
swimming for most of his life. In high school, he became certified as an
Advanced Open Water Diver and was also a competitive swimmer, advancing to
state competition in his senior year. He took his love of swimming with him
after graduation and, upon joining the US Navy, was trained as a Rescue Swimmer
which involved at sea and combat rescue scenarios. After his enlistment, he
kept his feet in the water through his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and his
Master's degree in Exercise Physiology with his involvement in swimming for
fitness, water skiing, diving, and coaching age group and high school swim teams.
Following his graduation, he had great opportunities to work in aquatics
management through Parks and Recreation in the North Dallas area. He was
the Assistant Aquatics and Fitness Director for the Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium
in Allen,Texas. This was a great opportunity, as he was able to assist in
the final construction stages of the complex. He was also the Aquatics
Director for the Coppell Aquatics and Recreation Center in Coppell,
Texas. Upon moving to the Austin area, he secured the position of Facility
Manager for the Lakeway Swim Center and had a great four years with that community.
Additionally, he worked as the Aquatics and Fitness Director for a private
health club in Dripping Springs and was the head coach for the Spring Rays
Aquatics Club.
In 2008, he began his work with the Circle C HOA. "I would like to thank the
community for the support that has been given to make all the improvements at
the facility over the past several years. These include solar panels for the wade pool,
high efficiency / low emission heaters for the competition pool, new solar
covers and lane lines, upstairs workspace, ADA pool lift, sand volleyball
court, playscape, and more shade structures. The new pool and community center is an
exciting project that I am looking forward to being a part of and I hope to
continue to build on the process improvements that have been put in place. I
hope that anytime you visit the swim center you have an enjoyable experience
and that we are able to provide you with the programming and services that you
desire. Hope to see you at the pool," Brandon Ducote, Aquatics Director.
AQUATICS COORDINATOR Britt Shane

Britt Shane grew up in Baraboo, WI where she began swimming
and dancing. Her mom gave her the middle name Shane after Shane Gould, an
Australian former swimmer who won three gold medals in the 1972 Summer
Olympics. This might be why Shane has always found a way to keep swimming in
her life.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison,
Shane moved to San Francisco, CA where she taught children’s dance (ballet,
tap, jazz and tumbling) to ages 3-9 for 6 years. It didn’t take long
before she found a great lap pool and joined her first Masters Swim class. She
continued the classes for the next 10 years.
Shane moved to Austin, TX in the summer of 2010. She has
continued taking Master Swim classes, teaching children’s dance and playing
music with her band (www.brittanyshane.com)
at venues around town.

Robert was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Austin with his family in 1968. He attended McCallum and Reagan High Schools in Austin as well as the University of Texas at Austin.
Robert grew up in the swimming pool industry, going to job sites with his dad when he was a young boy and learning the tricks of the trade as he gained knowledge in the installation and operations of swimming pools. He worked as a swimming pool maintenance and repair technician throughout high school and college and after graduating, was hired as the general manager of Hill Country Pools in Austin, TX. After six years as a GM, Robert went to work at Golfsmith in Austin as a sales representative and was quickly promoted to purchasing agent where he was responsible for purchasing and distributing golf equipment and tools all over the world. Robert was hired by Circle C Swim Center in the fall of 2008 as the Facility Coordinator. When asked what he does at Circle C Swim Center he simply answers, "I keep the facility safe and clean and the pool looking good." When asked what he likes most about his job he says, "the vast diversity of what I do and the daily process of task identification and completion."
Robert is married and lives in Dripping Springs with his wife. He is currently the Varsity Volleyball Coach at Austin Waldorf School and is an avid outdoorsman. In his free time Robert can usually be found on a lake or river in his kayak wetting a line and soaking up the sun or just out somewhere enjoying nature. His personal motto for life is, "It's all good."
